AELA’s goal is to increase the understanding and practical implementation of Earth centred governance in Australia. To do this, we need deep systems change - and our shift away from extractive anthropocentrism, towards regenerative, ecocentric society, needs to be socially and ecologically just. We need to ensure that all people, and all life and life supporting systems, are factored into the actions we take.
The Ecologically Just Transitions (EJT) Learning Network has been created to bring people together to learn, share and support each other, as we take on this work.
The goals of the EJT Learning Network are to:
- Connect with community members around Australia (online and in person), to provide mutual support to each other and our community transition projects, and to contribute to larger systemic transformations toward a just and sustainable future
- Create a learning community as a space for exploratory conversations, deep listening, provocations, with curiosity and openness to diverse experiences and perspectives
- Foster an active, reflecting, interacaltive approach to mutual learning
- Share information, resources and news about ecological transitions underway in our communities
