Mr Mohammad Golam Sarwar is a Doctoral Researcher (Climate Law, Alternative Development and Rights of Nature) at SOAS University of London, and an Assistant Professor of Law, Dhaka University. Mohammad will address the topic: “Rights of Nature in Bangladesh: Legal innovation or Governance Paradox?”
SHARIF JAMIL
Sharif Jamil is Buriganga Riverkeeper, Member of the Board of Directors at Waterkeeper Alliance, Member Secretary of Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra (DHORA), Coordinator of Waterkeepers Bangladesh and Executive Director at Blue Planet Initiative (BPI). Sharif will address the topic: “Rights of Nature: Claiming Rights of Life and Livelihoods in Bangladesh”

Ms Michelle Maloney (PhD) is an Australian-based Earth lawyer and advocate for ecocentric and bioregional governance. She is recognised internationally and in Australia for her work advocating for Earth centred law and governance, including First Laws and the Rights of Nature. Michelle is Co-Founder and Director of the Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA), an organisation created to increase the understanding and
